Garden views in Honokowai. This second floor condo is on the corner of the building where you can find a peek-a-boo view of the ocean. There are stairs to the entrance, but no elevators. A window air conditioning unit in the living room keeps you cool. Entertain in the evenings on the plasma television in the living room. The sofa is not a sleeper. One parking stall is assigned to unit.
Nearby Beaches to Maui Sands:
1. Kaanapali Beach – Black Rock Beach: generally calm conditions, excellent swimming, and snorkeling walking trail off the beach
2. Kahekili Beach Park (Airport Beach): generally calm conditions, excellent snorkeling and swimming, public restrooms, BBQ grills, and large grassy area
3. Honokowai Beach Park: great for snorkeling due to the shallow, reef-protected beach, Children’s playground area, plenty of shade, tables, and BBQ grills

Great stay!

very clean suite with nice garden view. Liked the location - only 5 min walking distance to market, fish tacos, coffee and groceries. Didn’t use the pool because we had the beach. Suite is a bit dated but met our needs. Would definitely consider staying here again.

Our rental appeared to be very clean other than the carpet. A few dead bugs made me wonder how clean it the last good vacuuming was done.
There was no parking pass in our rental as promised, we made our own and put in our car as well as getting the information of our car to the managers in box. We got a parking warning which was frustrating given we received no parking pass as promised. The AC did not work at all, with everything closed up, we gave up, and opened the shutters for air flow, it worked out well... The ceiling fans in the kitchen and living room worked well. There were a couple of moveable fans that were quite dusty/dirty. We did not feel comfortable using. Overall, it met our expectations and was a good place to stay given the price was very reasonable. The pool and amenities were nice and well kept.
I would recommend updating the snorkel gear, and you may consider adding in some beach chairs and umbrellas as some of the other units had these and it would be a nice touch to add. We enjoyed our stay. The Maui Sands was in a nice location for all the beach activities. We would consider staying here again.

Comfortable place close to many beaches

The condo is placed next to the shore but to enjoy thge beaches you need to move a bit. Some beaches are walking distance but the most beautifull are 5 to 20 mins driving.
We enjoy the garden and the BBQ even we didn't use the pool. Nice place to relax on the evening.
The cleaning was good.
We found some stuff for snorkelling that we enjoyed too.
Only one issue we had with the parkink because the housekeepers did forget to leave the form for car registration. We had to call the property management.(they solved right the way)

Mother's day week-long adventure

My 13 year old son and I spent 6 nights at Maui Sands and loved every moment of it. The condo was perfect for the two of us. We loved the private deck tucked behind the palm trees, giving it a fun and tropical feel of privacy. From the deck we enjoyed listening to and watching the tropical birds. The sweet little beach was also perfect for just lounging around. On lower tide days you can easily swim around and between the two reefs. The water is clear and fun to look for sea critters. Evening sunsets were gorgeous. The property is convenient for walking to nearby ABC store, farmers market, and other fun stores/restaurants. Short drive to Kaanapali Beach or Napili beaches and Lahaina. Definitely recommend.

Spacious living space and great location.

We totally enjoyed five night Atay at Maui Sands. We needed to call on housekeeping and maintenance on arrival because there had been some mishap and on our arrival our condo was not ready. It had not been cleaned and there were no linens and such. Within a couple of hours we had a lovely clean condo with everything we needed. The screen door to the lanai was fixed promptly.
We particularly enjoyed sitting at the sea wall at sunrises over Molikai and and sunsets over Lanai, always treated to whales frolicking!

Maui Sands - Vacation stay

We stayed at Maui Sands condo for 6 nights, we had a pleasant stay and loved the location and cleanliness of the property. I would highly recommend for family of 3 - 4 who is looking for a comfortable accomodation. Stores and Food trucks are at walkable distance and a kids park with beach access nearby.

Overall, very comfortable. Just a couple small issues, the room was hot when we arrived, a/c not turned on. We didn't receive the check in for parking pass, and the additional rolls of toilet tissue were not supplied. A phone call corrected the parking pass issue, but we purchased toilet tissue for our stay. Code for pool wasn't up to date as security system had been updated.
The patio had rack to dry towels, close to pool, kitchen had everything, a clean, comfortable apartment.

Our honeymoon in Maui

Both at 75 years young my wife and I spent our honeymoon at the Maui Sands. Our unit was well situated with beach front access. We loved watching the sunsets from here.
Because of Covid and difficulty accessing restaurants we prepared lovely meals in our well equipped kitchen.
The unit was clean and had the feel of home.
The grounds were well maintained as was the pool.
We will recommend this to family and friends.

Nice appartment

It is nice appartment,fancy interior design, pretty balcony, location is fine, fully equipted kitchen, it was easy and smart way to drop on/off keys, we just followed all the intructions, I just would like to note that there is no air conditioner in bedroom, only fans, we managed with this but it was uncomfortable

Great location, great complex

This was our second visit to Maui Sands, and our first in 6E. Ill start with the resort - we have stayed at a few different resorts on the west coast of Maui and this is definitely the best value and the most relaxing. Always room at the pool, great to sit and watch the waves in the morning from the viewing platform, BBQs always available, ample parking right outside the unit. Its close to a few of our favorite places - the Fish Market and Farmers Market are great, the Bare fruit Bar has the BEST root beer floats and smoothies, Times Supermarket is great for everyday groceries an needs, Slappycakes is a great spot for breakfast. ONE COMPLAINT - the on-site manager if a bit over-zealous in enforcing the condo rules. On more than one occasion we were gruffly told of violations we had made and fines that will be levied next time, and after further discussion it was discovered that we were NOT the guilty parties. He needs to check his facts before he starts threatening fines. (Our next door neighbor visitors were the usual culprits)Okay, now about the unit itself. We absolutely loved it. The day bed in the living room area is great and makes having 3 people in the unit easy. The bedroom was cool as long as you opened windows to allow the trade winds to blow through. Also the bedroom had blackout blinds which were amazing. By far our favorite part was the balcony surrounded by swaying palm trees and ocean sounds. A great place to eat breakfast and dinner and relax every morning and afternoon. Also a nice perk was the beach gear kept in the storage locker. Chase N Rainbows were attentive, organized baby gear for us through Maui On The Fly, and although we didn't have any issues, felt like they were easily contacted should we need to. We'll be back for sure!

Maui Sands 6E

We enjoyed our stay at the Maui Sands. It is a quieter, smaller complex. Our unit was on the end nearest the pool and had a lot of palms growing around the balcony. That helped to make it feel private. The condo has two beach chairs, a hair dryer, and a blender which we used. We were able to keep the condo cool using the windows and ceiling fans. We didn't use the air conditioning. The main room is large and has a day bed. The small bedroom is warmer (on the south side of the building). In all, we enjoyed our stay and had a great experience. Chase N Rainbows was easy to work with and even accommodated a last minute change

Maui Sands Condo 6E

We stayed June 12-20 in 6E and had a really wonderful time. We were only at the condo to sleep for the most part. We left early and got back to shower and sleep. The location is good, very close to a lot of the things that we wanted to do. Great snorkeling nearby. The beach at the condo is shallow and rocky and we spent very little time there. There is a small public beach a short walk away which we visited a few times. The kitchen is very well stocked and we cooked breakfast there a few times. The king bed is super comfy. The twin bed in the living area was good as well. The air-conditioner is in the living area and with the help of a fan, cooled off the bedroom just fine. There are several fans available to use as well as ceiling fans. The condo comes stocked with all of the necessary items for kitchen and bath. The lanai has a beautiful view of lush green landscape. You do get a small peek at the water from one corner! It is a great place for the price and i would recommend it for anyone who is not expecting it to be a 5 star resort! People...it's Maui! You don't go there to be inside your room!
