Why should I rent a condo instead of a hotel room?

Typically one of our West Maui condos are larger in size than a hotel room. It features a full-kitchen, living room, private bedroom(s) and sometimes several bathrooms. This gives guests the convenience and comfort of home. Watch TV in the living room and not disturb those who want to sleep in. Prepare breakfast to start the day or enjoy a sunset cocktail from the privacy of your lanai. Some condos are equipped with a washer and dryer or community laundry facilities to be able to stay fresh for another day of adventure. And guests can select the exact condo that suits their style, budget and needs. 

What is the difference between an “oceanfront” and “ocean view” condo?

An “Oceanfront” view is an unobstructed 180 degree view of the ocean. “Ocean view” describes a view of the ocean with possible obstructions or a view at an angle or between two objects or buildings.

What are the additional costs if any?

Your condo nightly rate, cleaning fee, damage waiver and taxes, are included when making your reservation. Optional travel insurance is available for purchase. Some resorts may charge an additional Resort or Facility Fee that gives guests access to onsite amenities. Depending on the condo resort, there may be additional fees for  parking, phone calls, use of computer and printers, etc… These fees will be described when making your reservation. 

Features & Amenities

Is smoking allowed in the condo?

Smoking is NEVER permitted anywhere inside your condo or on the outdoor lanai or patio. Most condo resorts do not allow smoking in public areas either, except for designated outdoor areas that may be established by the Board of Directors and in conformance with the laws of the State of Hawai’i and the ordinances of the County of Maui. Smoking is also not allowed in many public areas such as on the beach, in parks or at bus stops. 

Does the condo come with linens and towels, or do I need to bring my own?

The condo is equipped with the following: All the beds will be made with fresh linens and bath towels will be provided according to the room size and average number of guest(s). Rental beach towels can be added to your reservation prior to your arrival. Selected resorts provide towels at their pools at no additional charge. 

 What items can I expect to find in the condo?

Our Maui Condo Rentals are equipped with a full size refrigerator, microwave, stove/oven, utensils, dishes, pots and pans, bed linen, bathroom towels and a starter kit of bath soap, toilet paper, paper towels 1 bottle of liquid dishwashing soap, one dishwasher tab and one packet of coffee.  Additional supplies are available for a fee.

 Is internet access available in my condo?

Yes, Internet access is available in all the vacation rentals that is managed by Chase ‘N Rainbows.

Do all of the condos have air conditioning?

Some of our vacation condos have central or individual air conditioning, while some vacation condos are equipped with only ceiling fans. This will be noted on each individual vacation condo on our website so that you can make the best choice for you and your family; Keep in mind you will pay slightly higher rates for an air conditioned vacation condo. 

Are beach towels or other beach gear provided?

Beach Towels are included in your TLC fee. Beach chairs, boogies boards, snorkeling equipment etc. are not included, although some of our owners choose to leave extra beach gear. After arriving, check out the equipment in your room and consider renting or purchasing based on your wants and needs.

Location & Access

How do I obtain the keys?

Prior to arrival, we will e-mail check-in instructions, including access codes to gain entry to gates and your vacation rental.

Does my electronic code expire at a certain time on the date of check-out?

Yes. Your access code expires at 10:59AM. Please be prompt with the 11am check-out time.

Housekeeping & Maintenance

If I clean the vacation rental myself upon check-out, why do I have to use your cleaning service?

Guests are instructed to not clean or launder any items in the condo upon their departure. Our housekeeping team follows very strict cleaning and sanitation standards and is required to clean the condo after each guest vacates.

 Do you provide daily maid service?

In order to keep your daily room rate more affordable, daily maid service is not included with your booking. However, daily or additional housekeeping service or fresh linen replacement can be purchased for an additional fee.

We’ve run out of toilet paper. Can you bring us some more?

The housekeeping department provides a starter kit of basic necessities in the kitchen and bath(s), and such items as paper products will need to be replenished by guest(s) as needed for themselves. Guests need not replenish for the next guest.

We can’t find any paper towels or dishwashing detergent. Can you deliver some?

A starter set of these items will be in your condo upon arrival. If you do not see these items, please check on the counter, in all cabinets (under the sink, above the refrigerator) and if you cannot find what you are looking for please call our office.

We can’t get the TV/DVD/Internet/etc. working. Are there instructions in the house?

Every vacation rental is equipped with a Chase ‘N Rainbows “Aloha Handbook” that includes information on “How to Use Guides” for electronics and appliances as well as WiFi/Internet passcodes.

Is there an after-hours emergency contact number/person?

Yes. There is an after hours-local number that is listed in your arrival documents as well as in the “Aloha Handbook” in the condo shall there be a water leak, fire, etc.

Check-in & Check-out

Do you allow early check-ins?

We are not able to confirm or deny an early check-in until you arrive. If the vacation rental is occupied by a guest checking out, we will not be able to provide an early check-in since we need to fully clean and prepare the condo for your arrival.

Do I have to check-in by a certain time?

Check-in is anytime after 3 pm.

 What are the check-out procedures?

Check-out is at 11 am on the designated date of checkout at which time your key will be deactivated and you will not have access to the room. Additional instructions for departure will be emailed & texted to you the day before your departure.

Can I get a late check-out?

Late check-outs cannot be confirmed until the day before your departure due to potential last minute reservations of your vacation rental. If available, there is a fee (plus taxes).

After Your Stay

What is your lost and found policy? 

We will return your lost item to you if you call us within two weeks of your departure date. There is a handling fee, plus postage that will be assessed for all lost & found items that have been recovered and returned. Any items not claimed within two weeks will be donated to a local charity.
