Honua Kai #539: Spacious, upgraded, and captivating views await in this two-bedroom ocean-view condo. You, your family, and your friends will be captivated by ocean views on the L-shaped lanai. These views can be seen from the floor-to-ceiling windows of the living room, kitchen, and dining space.
Take in scenic views of the Ka'anapali coast while savoring fresh local fare from your open kitchen. The kitchen features granite countertops and upgraded stainless-steel appliances including a refrigerator, microwave, stove, oven, and dishwasher. Enjoy homemade blended concoctions from your blender or a cup of coffee from your kitchen. Guests will enjoy the large toaster too. Seating for three at the kitchen island enables guests to have an informal meal. Alternatively, for more formal meals guests can enjoy the large dining room table with seating for four guests. The lanai is also a fantastic place to spend the day!
Close the lanai doors to trigger the air-conditioning throughout the space. In the living room, guests can spread out on the couch (which converts into a queen sleeper sofa) and catch up on their favorite shows. Guests will continue to enjoy the views from the living room too.
Both the primary bedroom, and secondary bedroom have a king bed, a dresser, two nightstands, and a flat-screen television. Both bathrooms allow guests to choose from either the tub or shower. There is plenty of space on the vanity for guests to unpack around the dual vanity. Sample-size toiletries are provided so guests settle in upon arrival. Sleeps six guests in two king beds and one queen sleeper sofa.

Great Condo

Condo was clean and had adequately stocked kitchen. Location is great. Grocery store and local restaurants within walking distance. Great little closet with chairs and umbrellas which was perfect for beach days. Resort was nice and quiet so no issues hanging out on the large balcony every morning and evening. Would book this condo again. Checked in at bell desk and then returned keys at end of stay with no issues throughout the stay. Overall wonderful stay and property.

The condo is beautiful with a great location and great ocean views. Since it is a corner unit you actually have two balconies that are great places to have coffee in the morning and dinner at night. I would definitely recommend this condo and stay here again!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Honua Kai. The condo was beautiful & we especially loved the corner balcony with amazing views of the property & ocean. Great location to restaurants & activities. Not enough coffee mugs (only had 2) so we had to buy our own during our stay but now we have souvenirs.

I called two different times for items. Once for an extra blanket and to have a burned out light bulb replaced. They responded that day. Two days later I needed two extra beach towels and the pleasantly delivered them. The people on the phone and delivery we very nice. Thank you.

Wow! What a gorgeous resort and spectacular condo!!! Huge rooms with an incredible L shape corner lanai with a full oceanfront view. Condo well stocked with everything needed for fun in the sun plus all the comforts of home. Highly highly recommend Honua Kai resort and Chase N Rainbows property management company for a beautiful condo!

539 was gorgeous. Resort was beautiful. This was our 4th time using Chase N Rainbows and we will continue. They make the process easy. Every. Single. Time. Can't say enough good things. The condo was stocked but fell short with a couple basics. Coffee mugs and glasses. We made it work. Didn't ruin the day for sure. An abundance of pool floats and beach chairs which was truly appreciated. It's nice to see prior visitors leave their toys behind. Made it a great stay and we did the same. Hope someone else enjoys the banana drink packets as much as we did! Enjoy with some rum! Everyone could find little things to complain about, but it's Maui, and it was beautiful. And some people will never be able to go there, so drink your coffee out of a juice glass and enjoy the beautiful views. Until next time Maui, and thank you again CNR ❤️

Wonderful Maui stay

We planned a family reunion vacation of sorts a year in advance of our July 2022 stay. We’ve stayed at Honua Kai previously and knew it was the best bang for your buck. We successfully encouraged our other family members to book at Honua Kai. We booked through Chase n Rainbows and were not disappointed. We had the best view compared to the rest of our family, staying in #539 in the Konea Tower at Honua Kai.
Just prior to our arrival, I checked recent reviews and was disappointed to see reviews stating that the condo was not clean and I admit, I was anxious about this. When we arrived, I was relieved. The condo was very clean! Even though check in states 3:00, we arrived at that time and we were told that 4 p.m. for check in is the norm. The condo had everything! Plenty of toiletries. dishes, beach towels, floating devices, beach chairs, a cooler and more. We didn’t use everything but it was so nice that it was available, if needed. The only thing it didn’t have was cleaning spray so that we could wipe down the counter and table so we picked up a container of Clorox wipes. But that was not a big deal. The rental process and payment was easy and we had a wonderful and memorable vacation. I would definitely book through Chase n Rainbows again for any future Hawaii visits!

Maui Vacation

This condo is a great location and spacious. We have booked through West Maui Condos many times in the past with no problems. However, the condo was not ready at check-in time. After cleanng was done, the maid said she would return with towels. This didn't happen until the next day.
West Maui Condos did discount our fees because of these glitches so overall things worked out.

Beautiful Maui Condo

The location and hotel are perfect for your stay in Maui.
We had difficulty checking in as the front desk was not made aware of our arrival, this took an additional hour following a long day of travel (in addition to the stress!)
In addition, this property manager does not pay for towel service or room service - this you are often washing towels.
The parking lot gets FULL every night, thus you have to arrive back ~7 to get a spot.
The hotel has reduced capacity with seating at the pool and restaurant and therefore you can be waiting a very long time for either of these services.
The cooking material are old and broken, don’t expect high end (knife wouldn’t cut as it was broken and pots were small and scratched)
Overall, the location and view are worth the inconveniences!!

We recently visited this property and had a wonderful stay. I highly recommend it and was pleasantly surprised to find that everything was as advertised. The condo was clean and the appliances and HVAC worked great. The large wrap-around balcony was also a nice amenity.

Great stay for families

Our stay was great! The place was spacious, clean and convenient. We've stayed at the complex in a different unit before so we love the location. Its convenient LLP located next to several pools, one with a slide perfect for kids, beach access and a great boardwalk that goes for miles great for morning strolls or sunset walks. Its a little windier on this part of the island but wasn't too bad in June. The restaurant on site is super convenient as we got take out one night and ate at home. We had a little one, 7 months, and it was perfect for her frequent naps while the rest could play still. The views from this unit were divine but beware that neighbors can all see into your place with the curtains open. Bedrooms and bathrooms were a great size with lots of room. The black out curtains in the bedroom were perfect to get some shut eye since the time change was a little brutal. Check in was easy, a total breeze. Parking is all valet and included but have tips ready. There's a gate closer to this unit to get in and out of the complex but no one told us about it until we discovered it in our own. You can gain access with your wristbands. All in all, the place was perfect for our family with four adults, one 4 year old and a 7 month old. We would love to stay again anytime as this is our favorite condo property on Maui!

Great vacation

We had a great stay in Honua Kai 539. The unit is set up well. Somehow I overlooked the fact that there wasn't a sofa bed in one of the bedrooms. However, having one in the family room worked fine for the kids. The only complaint is parking. Although there is underground self parking, there weren't any spaces if you were coming in after 8 PM. Valet parking was available. We would consider staying in this unit again.

We were happy to have made the journey with our two young kids to Maui. We selected Honua Kai based on the recommendation that it is a family friendly resort - it is! The pool facilities are great for kids, families are friendly, and we found it to be a very safe resort (2 large pools, a lazy river pool, a quiet pool, 1 shallow pool with small pebbles, 1 shallow pool adjacent to the one of the large pools, 5 hot tubs). The restaurant/bar right in front of the resort and Duke's is excellent. This is the place to be for happy hour and sunset; the food is great and prices reasonable. The valet parking is free (offering a tip is appreciated but not required). The "complimentary" family photos are overpriced. The concierge desk is very helpful. The beachfront immediately in front of the resort is unfortunately rocky and has significantly eroded compared to it's size in just the past five years (no one swims here); the beach is also more packed and is safest in front of the Westin resort or further down the beach at the public beach (beware as there is a strong undertow and steep drop off); so not a great beach ... we drove to other beaches on the island which is not ideal, but the other beaches from Wailea to Napili are gorgeous. The boardwalk extends all the way to the Hyatt - used it daily! Wonderful. The suite was very comfortable - the best aspect of the condo is the wrap around linai - sunsets (not fully west exposure but a lovely southern west view) and whale watching! Some issues that need improvement - the kitchen is not well appointed - few pots/pans (missing lids), one little cupboard for food items (no pantry), few knifes (Chase n Rainbows nicely provided additional knives), no electric kettle but a stove top kettle provided which took a long time to boil water (there is a good toaster, coffee maker, and blender). The dishwasher is sub optimal by today's standards and did not clean dishes or utensils well. Fridge is large and has a good water filter. The table tops (including nightstands etc..) all have glass tops - lots of kid fingerprints; no cleaning supplies provided to keep the place tidy aside from a small bottle of dish soap (Vinegar and water worked well for cleaning; "complimentary" cleaning was provided midway through the trip). There was a pack n play and child booster seat here already (do not take the rental option for these items). Lots of towels, tea towels, and linens. Beach chairs x 4, umbrella, water cooler, and we left a load of beach toys and two boogie boards. There were ample spices left behind in the kitchen. The stores in the area are all good for shopping. There is no sound system (there is a radio); three TVs (but why watch any TV in Maui!?! Too much other great stuff to do). The internet can be slow at times and needed rebooting on occasion. A slight smell of sewage occurred nightly around 8pm but not too bad (This comes from the sewage treatment plant which is located across the road from the resort). We felt that the unit overall was well furnished, great lay out and is worthy of the 4 star rating as a family friendly resort. We are grateful for our ability to enjoy the resort and Maui. We would overall recommend this suite for families. The Chase N Rainbows staff were receptive and friendly - Mahalo!

This was our first trip to Maui so we were a bit unsure where to stay. We did some research and read a ton of reviews of the Honua Kai resort. There were some 1 star reviews (mainly on the loud construction & smell coming from the sewage plant) which made us a bit worried but we found our stay to be wonderful. The property is beautiful, it has several pools and lounge chairs, its in very close proximity to the beach. Some of our favorites: the boardwalk that surrounds the property, which is several miles long (we walked it nearly everyday), the towel service, the view. We never heard construction or smelled the sewage. It was windy the majority of the time (we visited in December) but the weather was always sunny! Only complaints: the WiFi in this particular property could sometimes be slow, we couldnt figure out the AC (one room was constantly cold), and the fire alarm went off when we used the microwave to pop popcorn (had a fun time trying to get it to turn off). Overall, would totally recommend this! Value: 4 Experience: 5 Property: 5 Overall: 4.75

Best accommodations we've had in 15 years vacationing in Hawaii. Suite and its views are spectacular. Amenities, restaurant, gym, spa, sundries store, beach and pool facilities rate number one. Valet staff rock. Friendly and helpful. We'll be back!!

I had a wonderful accommodation. Apartment was well furnished and great view of the property pool area, ocean and Molokai. Exercise room was bit small but last day they put notice up that they were closing for renovation. I had a defective safe in the room but a call to C & R and they quickly arranged for service and repair. Loved the onsite choice of valet, outdoor, or underground parking (should have evacuated there during the false missile attack, Lol). Thermostat for the AC in the bathtub bedroom would not work so it was too cold. I turned it off at night and left the ceiling fan and it was fine. The washer dryer was great so you didn't have to pack so much clothing. However it left mysterious stains after drying. The room had 5 beach chairs, beach umbrella, 1 hard cooler at least 30 qrts., 1 soft side cooler, 2 boogie boards, and 2 fishing spinning rods (no reels). I rented snorkel gear ($21 for 24hrs) from the pool house. Dukes restaurant on the beach served drinks, and food poolside. I would return!!
