Oh yes we saw whales

This apartment was in an ideal location. The beach in front was great for swimming (a little steep to get in and out) and we snorkeled with turtles right in front! There was even a turtle resting up on the beach. You could watch the whales breaching from the deck. The complex itself was not yet fully open (larger function rooms etc still closed off) but the grounds were lovely. The barbecue by the pool was really great. I would suggest that the property invest in an electric Kettle for those who do not drink coffee as water took forever to boil on the cooktop. The washing machine was not working during our stay.

Valley Isle #1203

My husband & I and our two kids stayed in this condo for a week in June and had a fantastic time! The view of the ocean from the balcony was spectacular. We saw turtles everyday. We were able to swim and snorkel at the beach just downstairs. There was beach gear available for us to use (chairs, mats, boogie board, etc), which the kids loved. The lack of air conditioning was not an issue at all, as there was always a nice breeze when the doors were open. There were some issues with roaches (as we read about in other reviews) but we kept all food in the refrigerator and it was not a problem. We ate at many of the restaurants within walking distance (Hawaiian Village Coffee, Maui Brewing Co) and there was also a store and McDonalds right across the street. The location was great, parking and check in were super easy and I would definitely book this condo again!

Nice Location But Not Clean

This property has a beautiful location, but the condition of the unit was not good. There was about a cup of sand in one of the showers, the carpets in the bedrooms didn't look like they had been vacuumed, there was a lot of sand in a closet, the mirrors weren't clean, and the dishwasher leaked all over the kitchen floor, and when we called about that, we never got a call back. The doors and light switches were filthy--we had to do a deep cleaning before we wanted to live there. The carpets are in need of a good cleaning--spots were everywhere. When we checked in we noticed there were three dinner forks and three salad forks--for a two bedroom unit! There were minimal dishes and most of them were chipped. Be warned, there isn't even salt and pepper in this unit--you will need to buy or bring everything. It was nice to have a washer/dryer in the unit and they did supply enough soap for the washer.
The beds were pretty comfortable, and listening to the ocean waves all night was lovely.

Amazing view, fantastic beach out front,great beds, nice layout

Pros: The amazing view, easy to get to the beach, nice beach bar and restaurant at the property next door, the sheets, blanket and towels were all fresh and white! The beds were comfortable, tons of pillows. The lack of air conditioning was not at all an issue, plenty of airflow with the windows open. Also, there is a convection microwave, so the lack of oven is not a problem as the microwave can be used as an oven if needed. There were 2 beach chairs in the unit that were very useful. I felt very safe at all times. There was a visible security presence in the evening! Oh and the beach is fantastic for watching the sun go down! We saw tons of whales, turtles and even a shark from our lanai. The Times supermarket down the road had a fantastic selection and decent prices! It was a great location!
Cons: (despite these issues, we would still stay in this unit again.)We woke up to a few cockroaches in the kitchen each day despite our excessive cleaning and spraying of raid, (reported on day 2 to property mgmt, they responded that someone would be in touch to help us with them, but they didn’t come to address during our 2 week stay), very limited silverware, needs new frying pans. The pool area is nice but was very windy. We didn’t use the air bed, thank goodness as the only extra bedding appeared to be flannel sheets and a smelly sleeping bag or big comforters. It would have been nice if an extra white blanket and sheets were provided like on the beds. The fridge has an ice maker but no water dispenser(the ad description needs to be updated).

Took Our Breath Away!

When we walked into the unit, it took our breath away! The view of the ocean and the other islands was amazing! The unit was stylish, updated and reasonably priced given that it was steps away from the ocean. When we go back to Maui, we will definitely book this unit again!The unit was amazing! We really enjoyed staying there and enjoying the view everyday. The only downside was that both elevators went out one day and we had to walk up and down 12 flights of stairs, but we know that was because of the building and had nothing to do with the unit. We definitely would love to book with you again the next time we come back to Maui.

Excellent Value

Beautiful condo with modern accommodations and nice decor. Great kitchen and dining space. Absolutely gorgeous ocean views. This condo is ocean front, enjoyed hearing the crashing sounds of the ocean all night. Pretty quiet during the day as well. Easy access in and out since this condo is directly in front of the elevators. Wasnt bothered by any noise at all. Clean and well stocked with linens. Only wish the bed/pillows were more comfortable. Walking distance to shops, Maui Brewing Company, Mc Donalds, general store. Excellent value!
